Interior Design Trends and Implications (September 2006) was compiled as part the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Standards Development Project. CIDA began this work by collecting a broad array of information about trends impacting the interior design profession and higher education. Source documents were research studies, periodical articles, and websites (referenced in the document). Writers and editors, Cindy Coleman and Katie Sosnowchik, synthesized this information into an interesting and readable executive summary.
Interior Design Trends and Implications is intended to inform and provoke thought and conversation about trends impacting the future of interior design. It does not represent the specific views of the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, nor is it original research in an academic sense.
