Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Workshop
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2008
Immediately before the IDEC 2008 Conference in Montreal, QC
This workshop provides faculty members and administrators from interior design programs interested in seeking accreditation and currently accredited programs with helpful insight and guidance. Participants will gain a wealth of information about CIDA's accreditation process, Standards, and best practices for undertaking a CIDA review. A panel discussion featuring experienced program coordinators and site visitors will focus on successful techniques for writing the Program Analysis Report and providing evidence of student learning. Other presentations and activities will focus on understanding and using CIDA Standards as a tool for effective program self-study and continuous quality improvement. Attendees will receive CEU credit.
Workshop features:
- Valuable how-to information to help your program prepare for a CIDA review
- Real stories from programs that have recently completed a CIDA review
- Advice from site visitors, program coordinators, and others about organizing an effective site visit
- Opportunities to engage in discussion that will enhance understanding of accreditation and CIDA Standards
