Call for Presenters
1) Organizing a Student Work Display
CIDA is accepting presentation proposals for case studies on the following topic:
How did you organize the student work display? Programs having recently gone through the accreditation process discuss the strategies and methods used to set up an organized display of student work. CIDA is especially interested in receiving proposals from programs willing to share photos of their student work display.
To submit a presentation proposal, please email Megan Scanlan for the call for presenters form.
Up to two proposals will be chosen for presentation. Presentations will be approximately 30 minutes each and should include time for questions.
If your proposal is chosen, you will receive a $150 honorarium. Additionally, case study presenters may attend all or part of the workshop free of charge.
2) Self-Study Presentation
CIDA is seeking a presenter on the topic of:
Program self-study in preparation for a CIDA accreditation review. An accredited program shares their approach to self-study and improvement in preparation for a recent CIDA accreditation review. The presentation will be approximately 50 minutes and should include time for discussion.
If you are from a program that has recently undertaken such a self-study, consider sharing your wisdom and experience by submitting a presentation proposal.
Presentation proposals must address:

How CIDA standards were used in self-assessment
-
What assessment methods were used and which produced the best information about program quality
-
Who was engaged, and how, in the analysis of self-assessment information
-
What conclusions were drawn from the assessment and how the program has acted on those conclusions
-
How assessment prepared the program for an accreditation review and advice to programs undertaking self-study in preparation for an accreditation review
-
How workshop participants will be engaged in your presentation
One proposal will be chosen for presentation. The presenter will receive a $200 honorarium. Additionally, you may attend all or part of the workshop free of charge.

Proposals should:

Be no longer than 4 pages in length

Identify the program and person presenting

Identify any visuals that will be used (such as PowerPoint or photographs)

Describe in detail how content will address the presentation topic.
